At Ukraine Job Connect at the Employment Centre, our experts will connect you with companies and organizations looking to hire someone like you. The Centre is run by the Provincial Government and Association for New Canadians, so you can trust that it’s a safe way to connect with employers.

We can help you get your resume ready, practice for your interview and navigate the next steps in English or Ukrainian. We can also offer more information and get you started with relocation and housing assistance in the province, English language and short-term training, immigration services and more.

How do I get started?

  1. Visit the Centre. We’re open 9:00 – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. You don’t need an appointment. In St. John’s, please visit 75 Tiffany Court. For other communities, please see the full list of Employment Centres province-wide.
  2. Work with an expert: Tell us what kind of work you’re looking for, and what you need help with.
  3. Connect with employers: We work with employers that are looking to hire, and we’ll make an introduction.

What kind of employment can I find at Ukraine Job Connect?

We’ll work with you to understand your background and experience, your past work experience and what you’re interested in doing now. Once we know what kind of employment you’re interested in, we can match you with employers who are looking for someone just like you. We will ask you about which town or city you wish to live in to help tailor your search.

Is it just a place to find a job?

Not at all. At Ukraine Job Connect, we offer lots of supports for job seekers, like resume or interview preparation, looking for jobs, or meeting employers. But we’re also a place to visit for other important supports like relocation assistance, guidance on credential assessment, language training and immigration services. We can also connect you to information about finding child care.

I need help with my resume or preparing for my interview. Can you assist me?

Where are you located?

In St. John’s, Ukraine Job Connect is located at 75 Tiffany Court. 

Can I get there on the Association for New Canadians bus?

We’ve added a stop for the Employment Centre to our daily route. It’s also accessible via MetroBus.

I was getting help at the Association for New Canadians. Can I still go there?

Our partners from the Association of New Canadians will be joining us at Ukraine Job Connect. You can access the same services, in English and Ukrainian, but in a bigger space that is more accommodating. The Association of New Canadians will continue to deliver workshops and training services at the hotels, but we recommend checking out Job Connect Ukraine at the Employment Centre for job search needs.

My friend told me about this Employment Centre – do I need to sign up?

No. Ukraine Job Connect is free to use and open to everyone. You just need to visit us at the Employment Centre and we can get started. You can complete our job seeker intake form at the Centre or before you arrive(Needs Assessment Form (google.com).

Can you help me with immigration or housing questions?

Absolutely! Our staff is ready to answer questions and provide support and guidance on employment, housing and relocation assistance, immigration, English language training and other training programs that might be of interest to you.

I’d like to take English language training. Do you offer that?

We can help connect you to English language training – and a lot of other services. Stop in and let us know how we can assist you.

Can I get service at any Employment Centre?

Yes. Ukrainians can avail of these supports at all 19 Employment Centres throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
